I have a great programmer (also expensive) on hand who does not want to be a technical cofounder of my startup (which I can respect). Is it feasible to hire him to lay out the foundation and create a "To-do" list of my concept and then hire other cheaper developers to carry out the tasks? Then have him do a code check weekly?
-
If he’s going to be a cofounder, you want to empower him entirely. Have a very direct conversation with him and ask if he’s comfortable being solely responsible for everything related to your tech. If he is, let him figure out the rest—always be there to provide advise and speak your mind, but let him decide the details of things like to-do lists and code checks.

How did you get the idea of Grooveshark?
-
What would you say your main passion is? Starting and growing a company? Managing people? Providing a music service? With your daily responsibilities, do you have a chance fo focus on the big picture (delivering music) or is most of your time focused on keeping the business making revenue and managing personnel?
-
In the future, do you plan to associate or to promote more bands or artists to help them having a greater exposure ?
-
Absolutely! Check out http://artists.grooveshark.com if you’re interested in seeing some of what we offer. We’re certainly looking to expand what we do for bands over the next few months, too.

From the point where the concept of Grooveshark began, how long would you say it took to truly get the site on its feet?
-
Hi Josh, My fiance and I are in the middle of working on a new idea. We are working on the pricing model and are considering on keeping our monthly pricing low in order to gain more users. Do you think it is ideal to worry about a user base before profitability? Thanks!

What advice do you have for someone who wants to participate in a crowded space. I want to build my company but am wondering if I'm being foolish given the amount of people already doing what I want to do.
-
Hello Josh, I'm a brazilian developer and I wanna ask you something: Grooveshark is growing up faster and faster everyday, do you think it might incentive people to develop web applications similar to yours? And if the answer is yes, what you think about that?
-
Where would you like to see Grooveshark a year from now, should things continue to pan out?
-
What trends do you think entrepreneurs in the online music space better be paying attention to?
